I submitted a request on 31/07 file transferred to the foreigners office on 31/08 and on 04/09 a decision on miss of additional documents, since then I have received no response or email. I have to return to duty on October 12th I will need my passport to travel I am a sailor and I travel a lot. Should I complaint to get a follow-up? does anyone have an idea of the procedure?

@Bhavna Good morning,

I called them tired can't reach them but when i sent them email last week, they reply me wednesday  with this:

Dear,

"The Immigration Office is currently faced with a large volume of applications. We are aware of the inconvenience caused by the delay in processing these requests and make every effort to process them as quickly as possible, always in chronological order so that all requesters remain on an equal footing.

You will be informed as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding."

I'm totally confuse I don't want to lose my job, I even have USA visa inside my passport my next offshore work is so close

Aneesh

You  can contact the embassy and ask your passport back. Passport is not sent to FPS, it is kept at the embassy while they wait for decision from FPS, so ask Embassy for your passport stating that you need it for your job related travel.

@Aneesh Thank you very much for your answer,

on the other hand my company had given me a letter of leave which proves that I must resume on October 12 that I had put in my file and also my return which was planned for September 15, do you think that I will always have a chance to get this visa? because the time has passed and my leave is near. I only asked for 20 days. Can the foreign office can still give  me the visa even though the time has expired?

selom KUDAWOO

This is the answer FPS sent to me today

"If you need to collect your documents urgently, you can contact the visa application center where you applied by email/telephone, they will arrange to collect your passport from the diplomatic post.

Best regards"
