Hi , recently I was travelling back from Monastir with 3500 US dollars and I I did not declare while entering the country as I did not know the rules. While flying back from Monastir they seized 3000 US dollars and gave me 1500 back with a receipt in Arabic and they said I have 1 month to come back to monastir airport with a receipt from my bank stating proof that I exchanged this currency from them and take my 3000 dollars back.

anyone have any information about this or can help in any way would be highly appreciated.

@devjavia1603 Usually, a law firm in Tunisia, will negotiate with them to conclude a settlement with the Tunisian customs, in which part of the amount is deducted for the benefit of the general treasury of the Tunisian state.
