Dear all,

A single permit had been submitted by a Belgium company. I already received a work permit and the addendum 46.

So the next step is to start the visa D process at the Belgium Embassy. Who has to pay for the visa in this case - is it me or the company?

Please share you experience.

You should talk with the company hiring you, maybe they pay for it, but in principle, it's you who has to present the payment, so you should do it.

Honestly, they pay for it if the initiative comes from their end. If they don't, you should pay for it.

If you come from a particularly poor country with low salary and high conversion factor, you can discuss this with them, but i highly recommend you do all the payments unless they do it themselves.

As mentioned above, its totally upto what you agreed with the company. Some companies pay/reimbourse this expense, some not.
