Break the Oman rental agreement 5 month before the end date.

I want to break the rental agreement 5 months before the agreement end date in Oman. The rental team is not agreeing for our request. Pls confirm whether they can force us to survive till the end of the agreement or is there any way we can terminate the rental agreement.

Is there any payment to be made other than the maintenance cost?

Find someone to rent the apartment, but keep in mind, the owner of the building might stil ask you to pay the penalty, usually it's 3 months rent, then you have to keep the apartment under your name until the contract expires.
