Saudi Visa upon arrival for South africans residing in Bahrain

I'm trying to apply for my South African (residing in Bahrain) wife an evisa to Saudi Arabia. I've done it before and it worked but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Previously after clicking on tourism visa and then I enter her nationality, a new column would pop us where it asks if you have a US visa or are a GCC resident. I would click on GCC resident, pick Bahrain then enter her Bahraini visa details.

Now when I enter her nationality that column does not pop anymore. So I filled the application out without that column and I applied for her visa. It hasn't been accepted or rejected for months.(I went to the embassy but got no help)

My question here, has there been an update? Do south Africans no longer need an evisa to go to Saudi? Or am I missing something all together.
