Hello @Aidan, I am just frustrated at this point 😅

So, as u gave me the agency, I contacted them and Jessica do was in charge of my visa processing. So she took my photo, and passport photo, and it's been 5 days.

So today when I'm asking for update she told me to apply myself and Vietnam immigration "stopped" visa approvals.

But in the forums I saw that a Pakistani got his visa approved.

Any other agencies that u know of who is fast and reliable?

Hi there. Thank you for your PM, and thank you so much for posting directly to the forum. This will be very helpful to other members of expat.com, as well as to casual readers of the forum who find this thread through an internet search.

The other Pakistani member you refer to is, I believe, member ColonerHardStone.

That member received the same response from an agency representative as you did. See their post here. (post #498).

The member followed our advice to them, found here. (post #500)

I had written there...

"My suggestion to members receiving multiple denials, after confirming that no other errors exist, is to continue resubmitting the application with no amendment(s).

This suggestion applies only after ensuring no other errors exist."

Member ColonerHardStone reported receipt of their approved eVisa here (post #517), after following our suggestion to continue resubmitting their correctly completed application.

As you've followed the previous suggestions to ensure the correct completion of your own application, and as you are now starting to receive the same (erroneous?) denial reasons, my suggestion to you is to continue to resubmit your application with no amendments made.

I understand your being pressed for time, but I'm afraid I've no other suggestions to make.

Perhaps other members reading this post can suggest another agent for you to try.

Hi there, and welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

The denial of your application is due to your missing the ward name (Ben Thanh Ward).

Enter the address as so. You can copy/paste...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - Vy Da Central Market Hostel, 47 Phan Chu Trinh, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1  (include nothing else in this line)

City/Province * - HO CHI MINH City (from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam)0942 874 873  (optional, but recommended due to immigration's recent insistence)

Do not include the word "Vietnam", nor any postal code. Note the change of the telephone country code from "+84" to "0" for calling within Vietnam.

Do not be surprised if, as a citizen of Pakistan, you receive multiple denials. See post #485

Please let us know the results of your amended application, and feel free to ask any other questions you might have.

Once again, welcome aboard. Nice to have you with us.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum.

You're missing the name of the ward (Hang Dao Ward)

Enter the address as below. You can copy/paste...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - The West Hotel and Spa, 23 Hang Dao Road, Hang Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District   (include nothing else in this line)

City/Province * - HA NOI City (from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam)0245 678 8666  (optional, but recommended due to immigration's recent insistence)

Note: All fields under the "Name of hosting organisation", "Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam" should be left completely blank, as this section does not apply to tourism applications, and is for people who will be sponsored to enter Vietnam (by an employer, charity org., diplomatic mission, etc). Under this field, no name, no address, no tel#, and no purpose. Very important.

This should do it for the address. Please take the time to let the forum know the result of your amendment. We'd very much appreciate it.In the event that the application is again denied, feel free to reach out to us once more.

Hi there sanket sontakke. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum. Sorry to hear of the difficulty you are having.

This is the first time, after reviewing literally hundreds of denials, that I have seen a denial stated that way.

Are you applying through the official gov't of VN web portal on immigration?

If so, I suggest you amend your application as below. You can copy paste...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - PAO'S SAPA LEISURE HOTEL, 13 Muong Hoa Street, Sapa Town, Sapa District  (include nothing else in this line)

City/Province * - LAO CAI (from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam)0214 6253 999  (optional, but recommended due to immigration's recent insistence)

Do not include the word "Vietnam", nor the 661300 postal code when entering the hotel's address.

Hello Ayaan Malik. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

The address you supplied is lacking the ward (Võ Thị Sáu) where the hotel is situated.

Input the address as below. You can copy/paste...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - Aristo Saigon Hotel, 3A Võ Văn Tần, Phường Võ Thị Sáu, Quận 3 (include nothing else in this line)

City/Province * - HO CHI MINH City (from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam)0286 268 2555  (optional, but recommended due to immigration's recent insistence. note: this is the tel# registered with the VN gov't)

Do not include the word "Vietnam" when entering the hotel's address.

So then, next stop, VIETNAM!😀

OceanBeach92107

Who knows what the problem is as this is frustrating and it is beginning to seem deliberate on the the part of the Vietnamese team to frustrate this process.

OY - @Oyibi

Unfortunately you are almost certainly correct.

Yours is an oft-repeated complaint of Nigerian passport holders and no agents I know can fix the problem.

The best guess is that the current political &/or social climate in Nigeria has made the government reluctant to approve evisa applications, but they are not willing to announce a ban for diplomatic reasons.

Aidan in HCMC

@Oyibi

Very sorry to hear of the difficulty you are having. As stated by member OceanBeach92107, you are not alone in encountering this trouble.

Hello, guys. I’m so confused about my boyfriend’s problem. He entered Vietnam once in April, 2024 and now he applied again for Vietnamese E-visa. But the issue when he filled out the space “ The temporary address: 126/15B, 33 Street, Tan Kieng Ward, Ho Chi Minh city”. But instead, he filled out City/Province is Ninh Thuan, but must be Ho Chi Minh city. It’s not correct. I’m wondering if his visa could be approved and if they care much about this issue. Is it a big problem? 😫😫 I double-checked and his visa in processing. Hope you guys can give me some advice. Thank you so much.

Hi Yenkhoa. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

The application will probably be denied, and sent back to your boyfriend to be amended. There is no additional cost, and several members have amended/resubmitted their application numerous times (one member amended theirs 12 times).

When is your boyfriend's expected date of arrival? Under what passport will he be travelling?

Since the application is still "Processing", it's not possible yet for any changes to be made. Once a decision on his application has been made, please let us know the result. If denied, post here the precise wording of the denial and we'll try to help.

Are you aware that, as a Russian citizen, you qualify for visa-free entry? Citizens of Russia are permitted to visit Vietnam, without holding a visa, for a period of up to 45 days. In the event the citizen wished to extend their stay beyond 45 days, they have the option of doing what is colloquially known as a "border run", at which point they are permitted to reenter Vietnam for another 45 days, visa-free. A 90 day uninterrupted stay would require an eVisa.

Once again, welcome to the forum. Nice to have you with us.

Your profile shows you as being a citizen of Thailand. Is this correct?

If so, are you aware that Thai citizens do not need a visa to enter Vietnam? Thais enjoy the privilege of entering Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days. In the event the citizen wished to extend their stay beyond 30 days, they have the option of doing what is colloquially known as a "border run", at which point they are permitted to reenter Vietnam for another 30 days, visa-free. Hi there.

I'm sorry your application has been rejected yet again. I must also add that I'm not surprised. The address you've supplied is correct. The issue is not the address, but is rather your Kenyan citizenship. This is VN immigration scrutinizing your application.

Please take a moment to read the following post, linked below...

"It is now apparent to us that citizens of some regions/countries, including but not limited to Africa (most notably Nigeria), Pakistan, Bangladesh, as well as others, are experiencing difficulty in receiving their eVisa approvals...." (Link to post #485).

Unfortunately, the visa agents in Vietnam are now reporting that they are unable to assist applicants from these regions. See posts #500 and 501, here. I suggest, at this point, that you follow the advice found in the last paragraph of post #501, being...

"My suggestion to members receiving multiple denials, after confirming that no other errors exist, is to continue resubmitting the application with no amendment(s).

This suggestion applies only after ensuring no other errors exist."

Recently, a member from an African nation had amended their application 12 times before finally receiving approval. If you do decide to resubmit, please let us know the result. If the resubmission is again denied, check back in here with us quoting the reason given by immigration for the denial. We'll work with you on this, but it may take some time.

When is your expected departure date? I'm hoping you have time for this.

jdiggins

Received email response after submitting E-Visa -"requires additional information due to the following reason: Please update the correct address in Vietnam (in details)."

Can I update the original application or must I resubmit a new one?

Also we are staying at various hotels during our time in Vietnam.  Which one do I include?

Our first hotel is May De Ville Hotel, 24 Han Thuyen, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. Which dosn't fit in the space provided.

Your help would be apreciated.
