Yesssss! Excellent news, and I bet it's quite a bit of a stress reliever for you. So happy to hear of your success!
I used to live quite near your hotel's location. I'm still scratching my head over why they'd refer to the location as being "industrial". It isn't, it's actually quite a nice, calm location. You'll see.
Thank you so much for reporting back to the forum. We'd love to hear more from you after your arrival, or to answers questions you might have once here.
(hint: don't be a stranger)

Faaaaaantastic! Thank you so very much for letting the forum know. Greatly appreciated!
After arriving, and when you can spare the time, we'd love to hear back from you of your impressions/experiences here.
I'm not sure if you've visited Vietnam before, but in any event feel free to post any questions related to your stay here which might arise (eg. prices, customs, foods etc) by jumping into one of our ongoing threads, or by opening a new topic of your own for discussion, here.
Enjoy your time in Hoi An, and hope to hear from you again soon!

Hello noorirafi1, and welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.
Thank you for your PM messages. As mentioned, we'll need some additional information from you, please.

"Denied Reason: Incorrect full name (as ICAO line)", and, "Incorrect passport data page (full page including ICAO lines)", are related. It sounds as though the image of your passport information page which you submitted is not showing the full page. Take a new picture of that passport info page. Be careful not to allow shadows or glare on the page when you take the picture.
Crop the picture to the very edges of that page, making sure not to remove/hide any portion of the page. If you've entered your name as it appears on the bottom of that page, then I'm hopeful that this will fix this part of the "Denied Reason" .
"Please update the correct address in Vietnam (in details)" . To help you with this we will need to know the name of the hotel you will be staying at. I'm assuming the address you provided on your eVisa application came from a booking site. If so, there have been numerous instances in this thread where the booking site's address for a member's hotel was not the correct address. Let us know the name so that we can figure this out for you.
You've still got over two weeks before your intended arrival date. No need to worry or stress. We'll get you through this.
Hope to hear back from you soon, and once more welcome to the forum.
@Aidan in HCMC
Hi dear , I did take another picture of my passport so hope that problem will be solved with it, and about the address in Vietnam yes I copied that address from booking hotel website and the name of hotel and address is like this.
Hùng Vương Hotel Lot 60 Hung Vuong, Tran Phu Ward, Mong Cai, Quang Ninh 015000, Vietnam.
please correct it for me if its wrong.
thank you

Hi again, and thank you for that information.
Good stuff! I believe that submitting the new passport information page picture, and including your name exactly as it appears on the ICAO line will fix those two denial reasons.
As for the detailed address, try resubmitting by copying/pasting the following (in English)...
Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam *= Hung Vuong Hotel, Lot 60 Hung Vuong, Tran Phu Ward, Mong Cai City (include nothing else in this line)
City/Province *= QUANG NINH (from drop-down box)
Phone number (in Vietnam) = 02253 899 999 (optional, but recommended)
(note: the name Hung Vuong Hotel, must be included in the address line)
I'm confident that these amendments will result in your eVisa application being approved. However, in the unlikely event of it not being approved, please do not hesitate to let us know the reason and we'll take another look. (I think you'll be okay)
Please don't forget to let us know the result of your amendment/resubmission. We'd very much appreciate it!

Aidan is the expert on this subject, but maybe include this:
45 P. Đường Thành, Hàng Bông, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội
@OceanBeach92107
And don't forget to include the name of the hotel/property owner/booking agency.
Hello @adian,
I have the same issues as above, rejected twice.
I will be staying in: Ja Cosmo Hotel and Spa, 23 Pho Lo Su, Ly Thai To, Hoan Kiem.
City/Province: Ha Noi City
tel: 2439262222
Would this be ok if I get another amending request?
first attempt: 23 Pho Lo Su, Ha Noi
second attempt: Ja Cosmo Hotel & Spa, 23 Pho Lo Su, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi (still in processing)
Looking forward hearing from you!
Kind regards,
Matthijs
@rgdepadova They seem to be getting more particular now Guess its better to allow more than the 5 days processing time
@Aidan in HCMC
Make sure your application and passport names are the same ie. full middle name in both places if on passport.

-@matthijsnieuwdorp
Hello matthijsnieuwdorp. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.
I think your second attempt, "still in processing"(?), will probably be accepted. I say "will probably" only due to it not including the ward name in the hotel's address.
In the event that it is again returned to you for amendment, try copying/pasting this (in English)...
Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam *= JaCosmo Hotel & Spa, 23 Lo Su Street, Ly Thai To Ward, Hoan Kiem District (include nothing else in this line)
City/Province *= HA NOI City (from drop-down box)
Phone number (in Vietnam) = 02439 262 222 (optional, but recommended. *note the addition of the "zero")
I am a little confused, though. You say your application has been rejected twice, yet your "second attempt" is showing as being "in processing". I sincerely hope that you haven't been submitting a new application (and paying again!) after each denial, as immigration does allow for continued amendments until the application is either a) approved, or b) outright denied, whichever the case might be.
Please let us know how your application proceeds. We'd very much appreciate it!
Once again, welcome aboard expat.com, and hope to hear back from you with the good news of your eVisa having been granted!
@Aidan in HCMC
Make sure your application and passport names are the same ie. full middle name in both places if on passport.
-@garycounihan
Applicants should enter their name on the eVisa application only as it appears in the ICAO line at the bottom of their passport information page. There have been many instances where the applicant's name, as it appears on their passport info panel, deviated from how it appeared on the ICAO line.
Applicants; input your name as it appears on the ICAO line.
@rgdepadova They seem to be getting more particular now Guess its better to allow more than the 5 days processing time -@garycounihan
While I agree that allowing more time for one's eVisa application to be processed is always prudent, VN immigration has been remarkably consistent in their stated three-day turnaround window.
It goes without saying that applications requiring amendments/corrections will (logically) take longer.

Hi Aidan,
We are facing the same problem
This is our 3rd attempt at the Hotel address. We are supposed to fly this friday night, however we will probably be unsuccessful abd are looking at alternative holiday destinations.
Ive just seen your posts, wish I saw it sooner.
We put the address exactly as stated on the local hotel website, snapshot attached. So we put ”Str” instead of street and “Dist” instead of district.
We are expecting our rejection tomorrow or Wednesday.
We’ve also seen that there is an agency that can provide visas in 1-2 days for a fee of $100. A last resort and im not sure I want to go to Vietnam anymore. It all feels like a government scam to extract more money from tourists.
kind regards,
Declan

Hi there declan35353.
YIKES! This coming Friday is very soon. We could try to work with you to fix this, but I'm fearful of the short time left to you. It is, of course, your decision.
I'm sending you a PM (personal message) with the name of a member of expat.com who has been using the services of a well trusted local agent.
If you'd like us to try to amend your application instead of going the route of using an agent, I'll need the name of the hotel you'll be staying at and the city/town in which it is located (photos cannot be attached to comments in the forum). That said, your application which is still "Processing" at immigration might just be approved. I don't think the abbreviated Street and/or District would be a cause for rejection.
Do let us know how everything works out for you.
@Gdario8"At the end, I didn't change the address, just added the phone number of the accommodation owner. And since there was little time left until the trip, I paid for 1 day of expedited visa service through ***and got it."

Hello @Aidan
Hello, SambitYuri. Welcome to the forum.
I've just a couple of questions for you before attempting a solution.
...for Hanoi got the same problem with e-visa residential address.
When you say "e-visa residential address", do you mean the "Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam"?
My visa was denied twice already and I applied with the address below.
How was the denial worded? Can you copy/paste it here, please?

Don't get too stressed. We'll figure it out.

I want to ask a question here, why has this forum been turned into a free visa agency these days? If these people you are always helping have a problem they should go to a recognised visa agent & pay accordingly. All you are doing is helping these people come here on the cheap..........in my opinion that is!!
I want to ask a question here, why has this forum been turned into a free visa agency these days?
Fair questions.
This specific thread, not the whole of the forum itself, is dedicated to assisting people who have received a "Denied Reason: please provide a detailed address in Vietnam" response from immigration.
The assistance offered here to members does not include issuance of an eVisa, which I believe is the service provided, and charged for, by travel agencies.
If these people you are always helping have a problem they should go to a recognised visa agent & pay accordingly.
But why employ the paid services of an agency when they can receive free friendly advice on how to complete their own eVisa application(s) on a forum to which they are a member?
Each member on each of expat.com's worldwide forums is in effect an ambassador of the site. It serves us well to put our best effort into helping others. Having gained excellent advice from forum members over the years, it's my way of paying it back. It's why I wrote this a couple of years back.
You'll recall my writing this back in September of last year,'...there's also a purely selfish reason for my responding, i.e. I get genuine pleasure from trying to help others".
All you are doing is helping these people come here on the cheap..........in my opinion that is!! -@goodolboy
I'm helping them correctly complete their already paid for self-application for their eVisa. I'm sure you'll agree that the money they save will mean more money available to them to spend once they arrive in Vietnam.
I'm not sure why you'd object to any help being offered to fellow members. Are you advocating on behalf of travel agencies by discouraging my offering assistance?
If you do not wish to receive notifications of posts made to this thread, you do have the option of unsubscribing from this topic (top right of screen).
Alternatively, and no doubt you are aware, there is the option of reporting any/all posts you or any member feels might be in contravention of the forums code of conduct. This applies to any member who feels a post should be reviewed by expat.com's administrators/team members.
You've been a member I've great respect for for many years now, goodolboy. I sincerely hope my response serves to answer your concerns.
@Aidan in HCMC
The denial was worded ”Intended temporary residential address in Vietnam” and the establishment where i have booked my stay is Elegant Westlake Suites.
@Aidan in HCMCThe denial was worded ”Intended temporary residential address in Vietnam” and the establishment where i have booked my stay is Elegant Westlake Suites. -@SambitYuri
Very good.
I see where you got that address, but I'm not quite sure why the establishment would include the "3R6G+45H" prefix.(?)
I suggest you submit your amended application, in English, as this...
Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * = Elegant Suites Westlake, 10B Dang Thai Mai Street, Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District (include nothing else in this line)
City/Province *= HA NOI City (from drop-down box)
Phone number (in Vietnam) = 024 3710 0088 (optional, but recommended)
I'm fairly confident immigration will accept this and approve your application. We'd very much appreciate hearing back from you of your receiving your approved eVisa! However, in the event that your application is again denied, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Lots of friendly folk at expat.com.
Hope to hear back from you again soon.
You'll recall my writing this back in September of last year,'...there's also a purely selfish reason for my responding, i.e. I get genuine pleasure from trying to help others".
self gratification??
Although visa agents come in for some bad press, in my opinion Visa agents provide a vital service for many many ex pats wanting to visit, work, set up business & stay in Vietnam. They are companies that provide a service & are paid accordingly according to the market demand. They also employ many Vietnamese people who support their Vietnamese families & local services with their salaries. They also support bus & taxi companies who again have employees with families to support with their visa run service.
My long standing Visa Agent has for example 4 permanent employees. My new Visa Agent based in Da Nang (kindly suggested by OB) I suspect has just as many.
So to suggest that the people you help save money by what you do & therefor have more money to spend when they get here?? well I will say no more on that if thats what you believe, but actually you as an expat are using the forum & doing Vietnamese business & their employees out of income & a job they are well in place to provide.
In my opinion all you are doing is supporting & providing a free service to the type of people I see more & more coming into Vietnam who give very little to any economy as they come here on low budgets & look to live her on the cheap. Genuine people wanting to come here & contribute don't come on a forum to ask for advice as either they have already used an agent & got their visa or have the common sense to fill in the form correctly themselves.
Hello everyone,
@goodolboy
The aim of the Expat.com forums (globally) is to link members so that they can share information on their personal experience to benefit others. Information shared by members are free and no one is forced to give any advice. This is the essence of the website.
In fact, as you know, professionals are not allowed to promote their services on the forum as we want to keep this forum free from ads and free for members.
Everyone is most welcome to help, we don't know whether they will or will not contribute to the economy (by paying agents). The website hasn't been designed to help some and not others based on these criterias.
The only reason we might not help someone is because the members is asking for illegal information or has posted content which goes against the website Terms and Conditions.
I request everyone to get back on the forum.
If you have complaints or if you do not meet eye to eye with us managing the forums on who to help and why, we would appreciate you send us an email so that we can liaise with you directly : contact.cmteam@expat.com
I request everyone to get back on the topic
Thank you

Hi maharshi218, and welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum. Thank you for writing me, and thank you for posting to this thread. Very much appreciated.
Okay, it appears the hotel thought it beneficial to include the name of Hanoi's Noi Bai Int'l Airport in their address. The hotel's management may have seen it as a good marketing ploy, though "Noi Bai" is definitely not a "district" of Hanoi.
I suggest you submit your amended application, in English, as this...
Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * = Family Transit 2 Hotel, Dien Xa Road, Quang Tien Ward, Soc Sun District (include nothing else in this line)
City/Province * = HA NOI City(from drop-down box)
Phone number (in Vietnam) = 024 3886 4000 (optional, but recommended)
That should do it for you. If returned to you for amendment again, please don't hesitate to let us know. We'll get you through this.

You've no doubt already researched this, but for the benefit of casual readers of the forum I'll attach a small infographic from VN immigration listing the land border crossings where a VN eVisa will be accepted.
Once again, welcome to the forum. Please let us know the results of your amended application. We'd very much appreciate it.
