Because of this thing I haven't bought the tickets yet but I plan to travel on 2nd or 3rd of July
@Aidan in HCMC
Hi Aidan, I have read these two posts already and tried to fill out the application form in the similar way.
I plan to travel either on 2nd/3rd of July depending when i find a cheaper ticket.
@AAMem
Okay. If that is your intended departure window then I suggest you use the services of a local VN agent. We're getting down to the wire, time wise. And yes, they have their "contacts" in the immigration offices.
I'd like to continue helping you, but I'm afraid we'd just be spinning our wheels, watching your deadline rapidly approach.
Let me know if you'd like to take that route.
@Aidan in HCMC
Hi Aidan sure. Let me know about it. And how much are the charges to use the service of the travel agent?

Many VISA AGENTS are also Travel Agents, but you specifically want to deal with a trustworthy and licensed VISA AGENT.
The price varies, based on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your specific application problem, your country of origin (passport) and the regular fees for assistance from THAT agent.
There is no set legal price for visa ASSISTANCE in Việt Nam, so it's usually a good idea to shop around and/or get recommendations from trustworthy people.
Once you complete your application for assistance (providing all requested info to the VISA AGENCY) they will then quote you a price to help you.
Good luck!

Noted really appreciate your efforts 🙏 I have just amended the evisa request hope all goes well, thanks again ❤️

Let's hope so, but in the event it is not approved, please reach out to us again. If it is (hopefully!) approved, we'd especially appreciate hearing the good news.
@Aidan in HCMC grateful to have come across this forum. I applied for my E-visa and have been denied twice so far asking to provide more detailed information regarding the address.
I received the feedback below after my second attempt:
"Denied Reason: you are required to provide a correct address where you will stay and contact phone number in viet nam. if your information is inappropriate, your application would be refused"
The first location I'll be staying at is Meander Saigon Hostel and below is the address I put for my application.
Address: ***
City/ Province: Ho Chi Minh City
Phone number: ***
My fiancee also applied using the same address, but did not list the Hostel name, and she did not have any issues. I'm worried about getting denied a third time so I'm even considering booking a different location if the address seems to be an issue.
Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks.

Hello Nickyde, and welcome to the forum.
First, I'd like to confirm that you are applying through the official immigration web portal, here.
If so, remove the word "Hostel" from the address name, stating only "Meander Saigon". The physical address you've supplied appears correct. We've had no reports of denials being issued due to addresses being submitted in English, but on your new amendment you can copy/paste this as the address. Meander Saigon, 3B Đường Lý Tự Trọng, Phường Bến Nghé, Quận 1
Also, change the telephone number to 028 3535 0022, removing the country code "84" and replacing it with a "0" .
There does not appear to be a limit on the number of times an application can be amended, with one applicant I'm aware of amending 5 times before receiving approval.
Go ahead and submit your amendments, and please let us know of the results. I expect you'll receive a response from immigration on or before close of business hours (VN), Wednesday July 3rd.
@Aidan in HCMC
thanks for replying.
yes, I applied through this link.

-@aremuabisoye
I've looked at the information contained in your application and I see no errors or omissions.
At this point I'm left with the opinion that your best route to take would be to engage the services of a local trusted VN visa agent. If you wish, I can send you the contact info of a long-time member of expat.com who can give you the agent's contact details.
I'm sorry I can't offer any alternatives. Very frustrating.
@Aidan in HCMC Thank you. I've amended my application with your suggestions and I'll be sure to let you know the status once I hear back.

You're very welcome. Fingers crossed that it gets approved.
And yes, we'd very much appreciate your reporting back the results of your amended application. If approved, then YAYYY! If not, we'll try another route.
@Aidan in HCMC
I am very grateful to you and OceanBeach. Sorry for the late reply, we were busy buying tickets, hotel reservations, etc. for the past few days, and of course, we are less stressed and relieved.
Our flight is on July 2nd to Cambodia, and finally we will enter Vietnam from the land border of Moc bai. I will definitely be back with my questions
@Aidan in HCMC
Hi Aidan, I've been trying to get my Vietnam visa approved but I keep getting issues with the address and phone number, please I need your assistance.
Here's the address and phone number:
Ibis Saigon Airport Hotel, 2 Hong Ha Street, Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Hello phunmie2100. Thank you for your message to e.
Frustrating situation, I'm sure, because as far as I can tell you've provided the correct address.
Try this, copy/paste in Vietnamese.
Ibis Saigon Airport Hotel, 02 D. Hồng Hà, Phường 2, Quận Tân Bình
(do not include "Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam" in this line).
You'll select HO CHI MINH City from the next panel drop-down box. And of course no need to include the country "Vietnam".
Please let us know the results of your amendment. We'd very much appreciate it.
If approved, BRAVO! If not, we'll try another route.
Hope to hear back from you soon (I pray with good news).

AAMem sent me a private message to say that he was successful working with an agency and now has the visa.
Hello, my travel agent applied for my mom, my sister, my son and me last week. My sister and I got approved, my son's application is still processing, and my mother's application was amended yesterday; it said to specify the residential address in Vietnam. However, when I checked, my travel agent had only written the hotel's name, “oriental jade hotel, Hanoi.” he said that sometimes it's a system error because the other applications got approved with the same information. He resubmitted the application as it is. Today, they've again asked to correct it; please advise what to do?

Your "travel agent" outside Vietnam doesn't usually have the connections necessary to deal directly with Vietnam Immigration in order to fix the problem.
Let your travel agent take care of flight, hotel, etc, but contact a trustworthy and licensed Visa Agent in Vietnam to deal with this issue.
Good luck!
@OceanBeach92107
He's in touch with local vendors there. I can fix the application myself too. I just need to know what to fix...
@Aidan in HCMC
hello Aidan,
I see you’ve helped several people and I am hoping you can also help with my problem!
I applied with a friend and was approved quickly while has needed to amend his application several times due to different reasons each time.
First it was requesting he fill in all the blanks, which we did. Then it requested new photos and then it is saying incorrect address and phone number in Vietnam.
We are staying with a friend who provided us new information to use but could you please advise on how to get approval? We already changed the dates of our flight but cannot change again and are running out of time. thank you so much!

I didn't say "local vendors".
He or you will most likely need direct contact with a trustworthy authorized VISA AGENT.
We've been helping people with these issues for a while now, and you wouldn't be the first person to find it impossible to get an approval through the online application.
After your application is submitted online through the website, it is then reviewed by a human being in Immigration.
If you can't get approval online, you'll need a Human Being Visa Agent who can contact a Human Being Immigration Officer on your behalf.
Whatever you choose to do, good luck.

If what you're telling us here is in fact the case...
...moms application yesterday saying that she needs to specify residential address in vietnam. my travel agent has just put the name of the hotel “the oriental Jade Hotel”. -@MAjumm
...then that would be the reason for the denial. Simply naming the hotel is insufficient. The name of the hotel, as well as its street address, the ward it is located in, the district the ward is in, and finally the hotel's city are all required.
As pointed out by member OceanBeach92107, there are no automated approvals nor rejections, hence no "system error" comes into play. I suggest you amend your application, including the above mentioned hotel details.
When is your departure date? If soon, do let us know. If you'd like we can refer you to a trusted local agent.
(I've removed a couple of your duplicated posts)

Welcome to the forum, brownleah40.
Good to hear that at least one of you have received approval.
You say you are running out of time. When is your intended departure date?
@Aidan in HCMC
thank you so much for replying. i was really looking forward to your feed back. ive done as you said, so fingers crossed.
there is another issue, i applied for my toddlers visa as well, but its been a week and his visa is still showing as processing, what could be the possible reason for that? is it a posibility that my baby and i have compelety different names thats causing an issue? Because there was no other space to submit any Additional documentation.
My travel agent is a trusted person; he has also applied for a visa approval letter for my mom and my son, just in case their visas don't arrive on time. So I'm just letting him do that as well. Our travel dates are from the 9th to the 16th of July.

I fear you've not enough time before the 9th July, as that leaves only 2 work days.
If your child is under the age of 14 and does not hold their own passport, they should be included in your (or another person's) application.
With only 2 days, I strongly suggest you speak with a long-time member of ours, who can put you in touch with a local trusted agent.
I'll send you a PM now with the member's name.
Good luck, and please let us know how things work out for all of you.

Ok please send me, also he has his passports. He is a dual national, like me.

-@MAjumm
If by "visa approval letter" you mean a VOA (visa on arrival) I'm not aware of that option being available/reinstated post "covid". In fact, I'm almost 100% sure it hasn't been reinstated.

Yes, it's available but only through an agent.
It's often the visa that's issued when people apply for an "emergency" visa (meaning that they waited until less than 3 days before arrival to apply).
Visa On Arrival is usually limited to 30 days or less.

So then, I was right all along when I said "...I'm almost 100% sure it hasn't been reinstated."
Thanks for that info OB. Very good to know.
The member's travel agent had, subsequent to my post, also advised them that it was no longer available (i.e. to a foreign agent).
Any idea what would qualify as an "emergency"? I'm thinking certainly instances of unforeseen circumstances (illness, death, accident, litigation etc), but would it also include unsuccessful eVisa applications, missed flights, or even a spur-of-the-moment urge to visit VN?
Mind you, I'd not be surprised at all to learn of the magic a local agent is able to perform.
@Aidan in HCMC I have the same problem. I am going to Vietnam in 3 weeks. I was refused due to the address.
Please provide your detailed address.
I am renting an apartment through Airbnb. It's an apartment in a hotel. In the "name of hosting organization" field, I indicated "Airbnb host Hoang Anh." Hoang Anh is the name of the apartment owner. In the "telephone number" field, I provided the phone number of the apartment owner. For the "incidental temporary residential address," I wrote: "Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang Hotel, 60 Tran Phu, Loc Tho, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa."
Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang Hotel is the hotel where I will be staying.
In the "City/Province" field, I selected Khanh Hoa.
Technically, I am not living in the hotel but renting an apartment there. Part of the building belongs to the hotel, and part is for rent. How should I best fill in the address in this case?

-@Iryna Dymytreyeva
Forget ALL about the Airbnb Host (especially in the hosting section, leave that blank).
ONLY list the Muong Thanh Luxury hotel as your address.
If you go back and read through these threads you'll see why that makes sense.
@OceanBeach92107
This post, and the link found within it, should clear things up a bit.
Iryna Dymytreyeva, welcome to the forum. That "Hosting org." section is confusing for many people.
Please don't hesitate to ask additional questions should you need clarification after reading the linked posts.
@Aidan in HCMC
I agree that this section should be empty. For my visa, I did it that way. And for the address, I just listed 60 Trần Phú, Lộc Thọ, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa 650000 and my application was approved. But my husband kept getting rejected with the message: 'Require to fill in detail all the information in the application form.' This happened about 5 times until I filled in the agency/organization/... section. After that, we got the error: 'Please provide your detailed address.' But I will remove AirBnb. I'll just write the name of the hotel. Is the address written correctly: 'Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang Hotel, 60 Tran Phu, Loc Tho, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa'? Or maybe I don't need to write the city if it is already selected in the City section?
