Post new topic

Hello, I had amended the application as we had discussed and now i have received the folowing message "Denied Reason: You are requested to fill all the blanks in the application form."

The only fields I left blank were pertaining to the host so I am not sure how to proceed?

In reading the previous messages is my bst option to go through an agent?

Thanks!

Drat!

When is your expected arrival date? If soon, an agent would definitely be your best bet.

sd1305

I have time as given my nationality (Pakistani) I knew I needed to start well in advance.  Not planning for travel till late Sept however there are other family members with whom I am planning to travel and we do need to book tickets etc so dont want to wait till the last minute. The family members are of a different nationality so I suspect they will not face this issue.

Anyways if i were to try online, what could i possibly amend?

Otherwise do you have an agent to recommend?

I think you should read this post. (post #319)

"I would definetly recommend people from Pakistan to apply for Vietnemese visa through the agency."

I've sent you a PM with the name of a long-time expat.com member who can give you the contact details of a trusted local visa agent.

Good that you're arranging all this well ahead of your intended arrival date. Far too many members have been leaving their eVisa approval much too late.

sd1305

Thank you. I have sent him a request to be added as a contact so I can send him a message.

Why does your profile list your citizenship as Singapore?

sd1305

Not sure why. I live in Singapore so maybe it defaulted to that. I have edited it now.

Would you be able to share with me the agents contact?

Hi there, and welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum. Sorry to hear of the difficulty you're having.

Tell me, please, what you input to the following mandatory fields.

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - ????

City/Province * - ????  (from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam) - ???? (optional, but immigration has been requesting a tel#)

Also, please take a look at post #297, here, particularly the reference to the "Hosting Organisation".

I assume you're applying through the official Vietnam immigration web portal, here.

When is your intended departure date?

Try not to stress too much. We'll do our best to help.

Hi Aiden,

Please see responses below.

Please tell me what you input to the following mandatory fields.

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - ???? TMS Quy Nhon Sea View Apartment,

28 Nguyen Hue, Phuong Le Loi, Thanh pho Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Vietnam

City/Province * - ????  (from drop-down box) BINH DINH

Phone number (in Vietnam) - ???? (optional, but immigration has been requesting a tel#) +84966377719

Also, please take a look at post #297, here, particularly the reference to the "Hosting Organisation". Yes , I saw the thread and realized my mistake.

When is your intended departure date? 23 September 2024

Your expat.com profile shows you as being Nigerian. Is this correct? Yes , that’s correct .

Are you applying through the official Vietnam immigration web portal, here? Yes, I did

@Aidan in HCMCHi Aiden,Please see responses below. Please tell me what you input to the following mandatory fields.Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - TMS Quy Nhon Sea View Apartment,28 Nguyen Hue, Phuong Le Loi, Thanh pho Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, VietnamCity/Province * - (from drop-down box) BINH DINHPhone number (in Vietnam) - (optional, but immigration has been requesting a tel#) +84966377719

Excellent. The address looks good, however you should remove from the address "Binh Dinh, Vietnam".

State only "TMS Quy Nhon Sea View Apartment, 28 Nguyen Hue, Phuong Le Loi, Thanh pho Quy Nhon". The province of "Binh Dinh" will be show in the City/Province field, and of course no need to include "Vietnam".

Replace the phone number with "0966 377 719". This is the phone number published by the hotel on VN sites (it also uses the "...in Vietnam" prefix of "0" instead of the (out of country) country code "84")

Also, please take a look at post #297, here, particularly the reference to the "Hosting Organisation". Yes,I saw the thread and realized my mistake.

Alrighty then 1f609.svg. I believe you've (hopefully) found the reason for the denial/amendment request. If you input anything under that "Hosting Organisation" header, the application for "Tourism" will be denied. Remove any name, address, tel#, purpose which you've entered there.

When is your intended departure date? 23 September 2024

Excellent! Plenty of time to straighten this out. Nice to see you hadn't made the (common) mistake of waiting until the last minute for your eVisa approval.

Your expat.com profile shows you as being Nigerian. Is this correct? Yes , that’s correct .

Thank you for that. I ask because there's recently been instances where a member's nationality was not showing correctly in their profile.

Are you applying through the official Vietnam immigration web portal, here? Yes, I did

You're quite welcome. Go ahead and submit your amended application with the suggestions above. If approved, BRAVO! If denied, please don't hesitate to reach out to us again and we'll try a different route.

Please keep the forum updated on how all this works out for you. We'd very much appreciate it.

Hi Aidan,

My name is Ugochukwu Lawrence and I'm from Lagos Nigeria, also currently residing in Lagos Nigeria. I applied 2 weeks ago for a Vietnam E-visa through an agent evisa.com. I opted for this as I noticed the difficulty most people from my country encounter in the process of applying and obtaining a Visa. Two weeks later the story is still the same and he blames it on my nationality,I have no access to the application,so I don't know what information is on there other than the basic personal details requested neither do I know the peculiar pushback he's gotten so far. I paid $150 for the multiple entry Visa as well as his service charge.

I'm confused now because I already bought a flight ticket for the 20th of August and if I cancel now I loose a huge chunk of the entire payment.

Please advice me,I'm out of sorts right now

Hi Aiden, trust you are well.

I reapplied following your instructions,  however  i received this feedback

“please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy”

Could the reason be because the trip is for 5 days , however, in the field for validity of the visa , i inputed ( 23/09/2024 to 24/10/2024) ?

Hi there ugoboss. Thank you for your PM message to me, and thank you as well for posting directly to the forum. I'm sorry for the late reply to you, but I have been dealing with a serious health issue and have been unable to attend to member questions for the past 5 or 6 days.

This "visa agent" you've used does not have up-to-date knowledge of the VN visa process. Though the site appears to have been registered back in 2008, and shows a Saigon physical address, I'm not sure I'd put much stock in anything showing on their pages. In fact, I know I wouldn't.

I suggest you abandon any hope of recovery from them. I'm sending you the contact info of a long-time member of expat.com who has been referring members to trusted agent here in VN. You still have 7 business days before you expected arrival date, so plenty of time. I suggest you start this process quickly.

note: no member of expat.com's Vietnam forum has any financial interest in referring members to a local visa agent. We do so only in an effort to help fellow members receive their eVisa approval.

I'm confused now because I already bought a flight ticket for the 20th of August and if I cancel now I loose a huge chunk of the entire payment.

You'll be okay, just don't delay.

I'm glad that you were able to contact my very knowledgeable and trustworthy visa agent friend in Hanoi City.

I was sad to hear that she confirmed the fact that immigration is not looking kindly on passport holders from Nigeria.

I know that the official online policy is that all nationalities are eligible to apply, but it seems that there is some specific concern about Nigeria being kept confidential by immigration authorities, so reputable visa agents now know that it's virtually impossible to get an Evisa approved for citizens of Nigeria.

I hope you don't mind me passing along the information that you relayed in the private message, but I think it's important for anyone holding any Nigerian passport to understand why they might be having difficulty getting a visa approved.

Thank you so much for your assistance, I guess miracles still happen afterall. I decided to initiate another application on my own  last week Wednesday. I followed the directive you provided other members on the application process ,I just thought to give it one last shot ,though I still had the other open application done through an agent . Lo and behold,I just got approved today and it was the application I completed myself.

All the agents I reached out to had advised me to cancel my flight and try to get a refund, and I was actually about doing that, but I guess God had other plans.

Thank you so much Aidan,I really appreciate your unrelenting support and unwavering faith, thank you too @OceanBeach92107 for your assistance.

Hello Aidan!

I Have encountered a similar problem with my Visa Application. I was trying to use the following hotel's address: https://lavelasaigon.com/. Using this line for the address in the application: 280 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ward 8, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City (Le Vela Saigon Hotel)

How should I phrase it for the visa to be granted? I have tried to mimic all the responses you gave to come up with a solution but I'm very confused and too worried that I'll have to amend it again, or worse, pay again.

Also, could it have been denied because I'm not booked there yet (I do intend on it)

Thanks alot!!

Please tell me, precisely, what was the reason given for the denial? Please copy/paste immigration's reason. Also, when is your intended arrival date.

How should I phrase it for the visa to be granted? I have tried to mimic all the responses you gave to come up with a solution but I'm very confused and too worried that I'll have to amend it again, or worse, pay again.

There does not appear to be a limit to the number of times an application can be amended, pre-approval. You will not have to pay again. One member had amended their application 10 times prior to receiving approval.

Check the format found in post #297 of this thread, used by a fellow Israeli citizen.

Also, could it have been denied because I'm not booked there yet (I do intend on it)

No. I suspect it is due to your not listing the address in the correct order.

Try this...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam * - La Vela Saigon Hotel,  280 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ward 8, District 3   (include nothing else in this line. note; use "La" Vela, not "Le" Vela)

City/Province * - HO CHI MINH City(from drop-down box)

Phone number (in Vietnam) - 028 3622 2280(optional, but recommended)

Thanks alot!!

    -@LioraNur

Yes, that could very well be the reason.

We always encourage applicants to apply for the full 90 day maximum allowed days.

Apply for the full 90 eVisa limit at no additional cost. With these eVisas you can enter and exit on any dates within the eVisa's window dates. In other words, with an eVisa valid for 90 days, you are free to enter any time after the valid from date, and leave any time before the expiry of the eVisa without penalty. Take a look at this post, regarding dates-count.

Amend your dates and resubmit the application.

I just go the same message to input correct address

I input following. Is that okay?

Address : M City Hotel Saigon 52B Pham Hong Thai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 700000

City : Ho Chi Minh

Phone : +842***

The exact reason for denial is as follows: "you are required to provide a correct address where you will stay and contact phone number in viet nam. if your information is inappropriate, your application would be refused"

Thank you so much for your help, I'll update on my amnedment status.

Okay, very good. Thank you for that.

Your "Intended Temp Address in VN" line appears to be incomplete. See post #333, here for the correct address to input.

Change your eVisa valid dates from 24/09/2024 - 24/10/2024 (this is calculated by VN immigration as being 31 days), to 24/09/2024 - 23/10/2024 (30 days, per VN immigration's calculations).

I understand this is very stressful for you. Thankfully you've still plenty of time for us to work this out.

Okay, make those changes and resubmitted your amended application. Don't worry about amending too many times.

If you submit today, I suspect you'll receive a response by Monday Aug19th. Fingers crossed, young lady. Good luck.
