Working in Netherlands with family reunification

Post new topic

handeu

Hello everyone,

Me and my husband live in Belgium. 14 months ago we came with my single permit and him with the family reunification visa. We both started working on October 2022 for Belgian companies but he was terminated from his employment on last May. Now, he is searching for a job but we're wondering if it makes sense to search positions located in Netherlands or not. Since we are not EU citizens, is it possible to live in Belgium and work in Netherlands with family reunification visa?

Maybe some of you have the same experience already? Thanks in advance,

AlexFromBelgium

As none of you are EU, basically you'll need a work permit in NL and an agreement to stay in Belgium by the immigration.

So, that's technically 2 requests toward the administration.... as cross-border worker has a special taxes status...

Not impossible, but not that easy as well~
