Hello

We are currently navigating a challenging situation with our son who is going to turn 5, who has been attending an international school for the past nine months. From the beginning, we've encountered concerns from teachers about his behavior, and we're now in a position where the school is suggesting alternative options, particularly special schools that focus on behavioral and social development.

Given the uniqueness of our circumstances, we are reaching out to fellow parents who might have gone through similar experiences. We believe that connecting with others who have faced comparable situations can provide valuable insights and support.

If you have any recommendations or if you'd be open to sharing your experiences, we would greatly appreciate your insights. This journey is new to us, and we believe that hearing from parents who have been through similar situations can offer both guidance and comfort.

Ah yes my daughter was in a main stream dutch school in Amersfoort and had problems, turned out she had Adhd and we were advised to do the same as you and I'm so glad we did, the benefits were amazing.

There are 2 types of school, ones for kids with severe disorders and the other which our daughter went to is like a normal school but with special needs trained teachers. I think maybe that's what you should look for. But if I were you I'd try to get your son assessed by the GGZ first
