Tax treatment regarding rental payment from overseas in Thailand

Post new topic

I will be living in Thailand permanently (Thai Elite Visa), and I would like to pay my rent in Thailand from an overseas account, without putting it into my Thai account first.

Would this be taxable, even though I wouldn't technically be remitting that overseas amount to my account directly, but would be paying for a service (rent) in Thailand instead ?

More generally, if one lives in Thailand, and pays expenditures using an overseas account directly, is that considered remittance from a tax treatment point of view ?

Thanks you.

tax treaty between your country and Thailand ? if the answer is positive, read it
