That is really a great price compared to what is charged at smaller appliance outlets in Dumaguete, perhaps 48k for us for a Panasonic 2.5hp. How do you install? You likely have Anson employees in Manila that you an pay separately to do that. In out case, for Anson's Kolin, we would pay the installers fare to travel from Cebu plus installation fee (est 5k) if they agreed to come but at your price, it would be a good deal.

We decided on Kolin again because from one source the dimensions of the unit were almost similar and from another source they were way different.
Our current Kolin is through the wall not a window. We have had a small aircon backyard business presently servicing our aircon, only cleaning every three months P800 +P200 tip. This is a team of two men and they said they could handle the installation.
I'll have to wait and see if they can.
I'm thinking they may have to make the hole in the wall bigger, I hope not.
Now Abenson's on their website had actual installment prices,
New hole provision with bracket & installation P4498
or drilling & mounting bracket P3498
or drilling & mounting P2498
or mounting with bracket P1998
or mounting P998
If you need new electrical hookup it's P300 per meter.

We just had a 1.5HP LG Gold unit I think they call it, ionizer, thin Q supplied and installed for P34K and when we install the next 2.5HP LG Gold they quoted 51,500 supply and install but the 3.5mm2 wires are already there ready waiting.
Sounds like a good deal if the installation is not too expensive Bob. Don't know that brand but if you got 5/6 years out of the old one then well done.
Our oldest LG dual invertor 2.5HP is 5 years old now and still looking brand new but hey we don't use that one often but now with the solar i hope we test it out every day.
Enjoy the new unit.
Cheers, Steve.
Baguio City is looking better and better, no air con equipment to buy, no electricity to spend on air con every month. The heater for the shower water is minimal.
Not sure where you are in Baguio mugteck but I have stayed in town in two different hotels and ran the A/C 24/7 with windows closed to block out the pollution, sure it's cooler outside than down here on the ocean but not too different temp wise. No pollution here. Watch out for the tsunami Steve.
For me Baguio is nice to visit but too busy for me to live permanently.
OMO.
Cheers, Steve.
I just bought a portable 1.5hp aircon.....on wheels, with window adapter for hot air to exit. I hope this works as advertised..but its a chance I'm taking like most products here...hehehehe. My main aircon is a split Daikin, which I'm very satisfied with......but I like the concept of having a portable aircon which can easily be moved around. I will test it for a while..then give my opinion.....cost approx 20k including shipping.
Don't forget to empty the condensation receptacle regularly or you will have water on the floor, good luck and hope it works.
Cheers, Steve.

I have one.
They work well but stuff the condensation pipe out of the window with the exhaust.
They tend to be greedy on electricity.
Especially handy if you have several rooms you need to cool sometimes, or move house a lot.
Kolin at the price you're getting it is pretty good, anything cheaper would be TCL brand. If you wanted a better Aircon there is also Samsung Windfree

You were probably in Baguio in July, when the average high is 30C (86F) and the average low is 23C (73F). Since we have been here November and December, the temperatures have not passed 26C (79F) and most nights it gets down to 15C (59F). It usually rains 5 times In November and twice in December, only one rainy day so far this month. I would not want to be here during the hot and humid rainy season.

I was not looking to switch bands because of cost. I'm quite pleased with my original Kolin 1.5hp as it has been running 24/7 for 5 years & four months. (45,000 plus hours)
The 1.5 was an inverter type, the replacement is a DC inverter. (converts 240v ac to dc.)
Possibly mugteck, been many years since we stayed there but we were in town in a hotel with lots of concrete and even more pollution, many other times out of town a bit and perfect, I suppose it's like any city.
Here the hottest we have seen is 35/36 but generally 33/34 in the wet and like now 30/32. I suppose the breezes coming down from the hills and mountains overnight and early morning drop the temp to 22 to 26 and then through the day we get the sea breeze most days, regardless the A/C runs in the master B/R now 24/7 at 25 deg and at 4/5am I crank up the A/C in the office for at least 12 hours a day, running a large fridge freezer and a 10 cf fridge in the bunk house, t/v, lights etc. just checked and we are consuming 1,120watts per hour while the solar is throwing in 2,250watts at 8am. As for A/C units we have stuck with LG dual invertor split systems and they have never missed a beat touch wood, recently installed a 1.5HP in the new master B/R Thin Q Ionizer was 35K including installation, getting a price for a 2HP unit for the lounge room later this week, trouble is we can't move them or take them with us if we move though that never stopped the previous owner removing the 1HP split system from the office when he vacated,,,,, go figure that one out.
As I get older I appreciate all the A/C's set at 25/26C. Out in the garden early and then late in the arvo, would have been the same if we still lived in Oz as a similar climate in Queensland to here.
Cheers, Steve.
@Enzyte Bob.
The new one is 2.5 or 1.5 HP? Wall mount or split system for that price?
Cheers, Steve.

Actually there is more to the story from my original post but first to your question it is wall mount 2.5 Hp Quad Series
.
(1) The actual retail price was P47,695
(2) The in store discount price (today) P41,395
(3) The ordering online during the sale was P35,900, free next day delivery.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
(A) When placing the online order, it did not work. Anson's blamed BDO for the failure.
(B) BDO blamed Anson's for the failure.
(C) My stepson went to Anson's and explained the online problem, they honored the online price of P35,900.
(D) But we had to pay P390 for shipping and delivery time will be five days. Hopefully that will be tomorrow.

Merchants and Banks always play the blame game all the time.
Not just merchants and banks Bob, the Glass company we have contracted so far have been here 4 times, the glass most times is the wrong size, the boss blames the manufacturer and it turns out he measured incorrectly 3 times and he has to wear it and now he is crying poor, our job has gone on for 3 months now, two thirds complete but always seems to be a task even with 4/5 guys turning up. Last time 2 days ago they turned up to install 3 glass pool gates and 5 of them took 5 hours to install 2 glass gates what about this one? "Wrong size Sir, we reorder,,,,, another 2/3 weeks".
Yeah here the left hand blames the right hand and in a western country wouldn't last very long in any business.
Hope the new Kolin works well, @2.5 HP you must have a very large room.
Cheers, Steve.

Yes our bedroom is on the third floor, with poor insulation overhead. In the morning the sun is shining through our sliding doors to the balcony and in the afternoon through our two bedroom windows.
We have reflective material on all the glass and sun blocking curtains on the balcony sliding doors and windows.
The 1.5 hp just could not keep up, the room went from cold to warm.
