F card application from municipality

Post new topic

Berna1234

Hello,

I applied the family reunification card in 12th of July and currently I have an orange card. Since then I am waiting my card. The orange card expires 29th of December and I am expecting some answer to go to my country for holidays. So I was wondering how long this waiting can take? Is there anyone has the same situation with me?

@Berna1234 probably you will get the F card end January 2024.

We were told by our municipality that we should not expect an answer before the 6 month wait is up. My husband applied for family reunification on Jun 18 and can call the local municipality we live in on Dec 18, not sooner. They told us it is possible that the department handling these applications sometimes is very busy and adds on another months before they can give you an answer. Based on what we’ve been told, I’m afraid you will have the full 6 mo as well.

It's minimum 6 months. contact your commune before your orange card expires like a week before. If there is no decision yet, they should extend your orange card for another month

@Elvijfje which municipality are you in? I wanted to go for holidays in the beginning of January but it looks like it is not possible.

@Elvijfje did you hear something extra about your application?
