Are the Andes Mountains in Argentina and Chile the most common places for middle classs Brazilians to travel to expereince snow? Or do they prefer going to Europe instaed?

If they can afford it they go to Europe, but best of all is typically Canada or the US.

The best ski resort in SA is Bariloche in Argentina, but it is is super expensive to Brazilians, as are Canada and the US (and wait time for tourist visas to the US is currently about 450 days, just for the interview).

Chile has amazing resorts but also very costly, and high - difficult for beginners. Europe is actually not too expensive for Brazilians in comparison, but a long way away, and visas are also complicated. So most Brazilians, except the wealthiest, do not ski. However there can be snow in south Brazil although not enough for any kind of sport...

LOL! I think they go to Snowland, in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul.

The [translated] Snowland advertisement says one can "... experience slipping on ice, descending the snow mountain and practicing snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding."

But seriously, the Brazilian diaspora is such that one finds Brazilians in the most remarkable places around the world where they seem to adapt very well.
