New here and not entirely sure about moving to Portugal

Thank you for the welcome.

I am curious about the possibility of moving to Portugal but my wife is really not interested. A few years ago I got Irish citizenship so I am a dual US/Irish citizen. So I can live and work anywhere in the EU without a Visa. My wife is retired and a US citizen. I don't have a clear idea if my wife needs a visa to stay long term in an EU country.

Hi,

Family members of EU citizens who do not have European nationality must apply for a residence card to be able to live in Portugal for over 5 years.
