Hi all,

What do you think about the means of transportation in Bergen ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed?
What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

How much is a fare?

Are they relatively safe?

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Bergen?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Hello!

Here in Bergen, we often use the bus! The bus systems are very much well developed here. The buses are well kept, punctual, and safer than any bus I ever rode in the US for sure.

Fare is not all that much, it is 25NOK per person. You can also purchase a pass online, with a few different options if you plan to take the bus very frequently, but I am not sure how much those cost but here is the website for it http://www.skyss.no/nn-NO/GlobalToppMeny1/English/ - the english info, if you can't read Norwegian.

There are also cabs, but those are very expensive, and there is usually a bus route you can take to anywhere you want to go, within a short walking distance. There are bus stops everywhere.

Depending on where you live, there is also a tram that goes to downtown Bergen on a set track, taking regular trips. You can take the bus to and from this tram, as well.

The buses are very popular to use, and you will definitely see many many people using them.
