tips for buying a used car

Post new topic

Hello,

My family will move to Bergen in January from Texas, USA.  I am looking for a rental car and then buy a second-hand used car from dealers.  Appreciate if any of you could share tips regarding about how to buy an used car, tips, etc.  Looking forward to meeting new friends after we settle down.

Hello!

If you buy from a dealer you are pretty safe and you will have warrenty.

If you buy a "new" car imported from fex Germany, 5 year warrenty doesnt exist. It only exist if you buy from the norwegian main dealer. (Its a grey zone problem).

thanks for the reply.  do you have any dealers at Bergen to recommend?

Hi, you can check finn.no/finn/car/used/browse1
for used car and if you have permanent job offer you can directly go to bank they will provide you loan as well all the car dealers. Better from airport you can take rental car and within 1 to 2 days you can buy a car from car dealers but  better is 3 years leasing the car (new car 50,000 nok plus monthly installment )

There are many things to consider before buying a car.
Choose a car that is suitable for you and your family.
