New to the form, not to Perth

Hello, I’m new here, but not to Perth.

I’m originally from Connecticut, USA. After working for a brief stint in the UK, I moved to Perth in December 2000. Just in time to have my first 40 degree Christmas. I still remember sitting in the shade feeling like my brain was melting. ;-)

I’m married to an Australian woman, and have two young children.

I’m a self-professed “professional nerd” I work in the CBD in one of the consultancy services. While I’d like to think that I’m friendly and fairly easy to get along with, I’ve never been very out going so making friends has always proven a challenge. Hmmm… this is starting to sound like a singles add!

I’m always interested in hearing from others who have relocated here, have coffee, friendly chat. Talk about the challenges of picking up your entire life and moving to a different country and culture.

Hi JazzAV and welcome to Expat.com!

Thanks for this nice introduction.:top:
So, how's life in Perth? Was the adaptation difficult?;)

Harmonie.

Hi JazzAV, I would be interested in meeting up with you and your wife (my wife would come as well) if you want to have coffee or something? I have also lived in australia for over 10 years and have trouble making friends. maybe 2 like minded americans would get along?
