Hi,

I am moving to Guadalajara, Mexico for the professional work for around one year.
I am not aware about the Guadalajara, If someone can help me in understanding the place that will help me a lot.

1. What is the rent of a house near "Av Mariano Otero # 1249" area in Guadalajara?

2. What is the income tax we need to pay in Guadalajara for a salaried person?

3. Did people understand English there (Especially doctors)?

4. How much in average it will cost for a small family in Guadalajara?

5. What is the status of the Indians there?

6. How is the place safety wise, especially for expats?

Thanks in advance for the all the effort you take to answer my questions.

Regards,
Amit

It is a little difficult to answer your questions, because, the price of renting a house depends which kind of house, how many persons? simple? luxurious? big? The minimum would be 5.000 - 8000MXN and can grow. I can tell you that you are in the very safe district, that is the most important.
Not everybody understand english, but doctors, yes.
I think the manner of enjoying Mexico is to leran spannish quickly.
Status of the indians? I don't know. But mexican people are very friendly and wellcoming.
I live in Guadalajara. I can help you for practical things. Send me a mesage when you are in Gdl.
Sorry for my english.

Hi,

I would be moving to Mexico with my wife as dependent in next 4-5 months.

Request you to help in finding opportunities for her to keep herself busy. This could either be a IT related job or a hobby course.

Thanks!!

If she's not going to/doesn't want to get a job, probably the best thing for her to do is to follow her passion and volunteer. Is she an animal lover? Volunteer with the closest local rescue group. Etc.

A good way to feel useful, keep busy, improve her Spanish, and make friends with similar interests, all at once.

Thanks for your reply.

Could you let me know the answers to following :

1) If a person arrives to Mexico (Guadalajara) on a dependent visa, what is the process of converting it into a Work Permit.

2) If a person arrives to Mexico (Guadalajara) on a dependent visa, what is the process of converting it into a Study Visa. Do you know if there any options of good Fashion Designing courses?
