Re not paying gratuity according to new Oman Labour Law

Hi everyone! I have finished my contract 2 weeks ago ( I was working for 2yr and 8 months and they told me to resign and I did), now the company is saying that they will pay gratuity according to Old labour law and giving bullshit reason that the company is yet to implement new law. I have filed complaint against them in MOL . They now tried to threaten me that they will not give good reference for me for future jobs or my name will be spoiled. They also said that the matter will go to court and it may take a year. I have now 2 queries:

1. As my hearing is on 2nd July, what are the chances of settlement on that day itself? As it is straightforward case will it still take time?
2. I have almost 37 unclaimed leaves. For the pay of these balanced leaves, they said it is based on my base pay and not gross pay. Can anyone please clarify how unclaimed leaves pay is calculated.
