UK State Pension in Australia

Post new topic

Hi

Hopefully my wife and I will be going to Australia in April.

Initially we'll be applying for a onshore 804 visa.

We have got the Sponsors etc. Either our Son or our Daughter.

If successful we appreciate that we could be on a bridging visa for quite a while. Both my wife and I will be 69 when we go over.

My query is this.

Our only income will be our UK state pension. We do not

Have any private pensions. Are we taxed on our UK pensions?

How does the UK\Australian dual taxation rules work?

We will have a few thousand dollars in savings.

Regards

John
