Hey Fever nothing new there then

Yes I went to bed early last night because this heat has given me hey fever. Thankfully I've got tablets that I brought from the UK and because I've been to the village shops this morning it doesn't appear to be anything new. So another early night for me then the early village bus to go to the dentist in Pomorie but with any luck my recovery will start soon.

But my neighbour has just been and she could tell that I was suffering from Hey Fever.

Kath948381

Well I'm not as bad today but I've been a lot better. Another early night for me then.

I use the nasal spray, or it's really bad outside, I wear a mask especially when I'm cutting the lawn.

Kath948381

Good advice . I'll go to the village chemist tomorrow to see what she can suggest.

I hear you can get injections now, and it covers you for the whole year.

Kath948381

Wow but I bet not in Bulgaria?

Kath948381

I didn't start with Hey Fever until I was middle aged but this new case has really taken it out of me. But then again I'm in my 70s and it's been soooo hot here this year.

It's hay fever as in dried grass, not hey as in 'hey how you doing'.

I only started getting in the last couple of years, I am also allergic to dust, search and Birth trees.

mickg

That can happen, same with chemicals we use, fine for years then get reaction (dermatitis).

Nasal sprays I hear are very good and antihistamine tablets.

The steroid nasal sprays are available over the counter in Bulgaria, I believe. When it's really bad, those as well as antihistamine tablets make a good combination. I hope you were able to get something while you were in town for the dentist today, Kath.

I have it very badly much of the year in the UK, but it's a bit better in Bulgaria. A lot better this time. The drought is bad here in the north east and there's zero pollen. And they're between crops with the harvesting, so no dust from that.

You would have to ask the doctors.

Kath948381

I seem to have had slightly better night last night so when I've had my breakfast I'll go to the village chemist to see if she stocks something useful.

Kath948381

Well the village chemist sold me some antibiotic's because I have a temperature, as well as hayfever.
