MM2H with record

Hi everyone, my fiance and I would like to apply for the MM2H program in a few years. Unfortunately, over 20 years ago, I received a deferred adjudication for a criminal trespass misdemeanor on my record. Would it be possible for us to still qualify for this program with him being the applicant and myself as spouse? I received an order of nondisclosure for the charge but am sure it would show up on an FBI check and cannot get it it expunged. I guess the last resort would be to try to get a pardon by the governor.

I don't have a criminal record, and got my MM2H easily back in 2008. If I were you, I would ask your question to one of the MM2H agents. For such a serious matter I would not be asking opinions from strangers on the internet, few if any would likely be admitting to having a criminal past.

Many years ago I used to receive the Expat Magazine when I lived in KL. There was a guy that would always advertise his services for MM2H, possibly he was the founder of the magazine or had something to do with it, I can't remember his name. It's called The Expat or ExpatGoMalaysia. You can find it online and you could try there.

Thank you for the helpful reply. The charge was really pretty frivolous, though I’ll refrain from giving further details. You make a good point about posting this online. I was mostly hoping I could find an easy answer to quickly figure out if I should change plans without going through the more in depth due diligence, because we’re still in the very early stages of making choices. I will keep in mind to look into the Expat magazine. I appreciate your input, thanks!

The guy I was speaking about is called Andy Davison. He advertised his services as an MM2H agent and he was also the founder of the Expat Magazine. I just saw this info about him:

"Borneo Vision (MM2H) Sdn Bhd is approved by the Ministry of Tourism to assist people seeking a Malaysia My Second Home visa. Our primary focus is on English-speaking applicants and we are one of the most active agents. Our success rate is very high and we refund most of the fee should the application be unsuccessful. If you interested to learn more about our visa services, visit www.mm2h.com or email us at helpdesk@mm2h.com"

"TEG CEO, Andy Davison, is actively involved in marketing the MM2H programme internationally. He speaks about the programme around Malaysia and overseas. The website www.mm2h.com has handled thousands of enquiries about the programme and has high search engine listings. He is also actively involved in helping market Malaysian properties through events both in Malaysia and the UK."

Please note that I cannot vouch for him as I've never met him and have no idea about his business. I seem to recall that he was a little costly for the MM2H service.
