Hi Isabella

It depends on how long you intend to say here, and what kind of car you want.  For me it was quite easy to decide, I want a German car which are fairly cheap used in Bahrain . I will buy a used car first and look to upgrade as I go on.

If you want a Japanese / Chinese  car I would look at leasing them, cost-effective, easy to lease, just get up and drive, the company will maintain it.

Wishing you all the best

William

@william7739

thank you William for your feedback.

i owned a mercedes benz new which lasted 20 years; then bought a used BMW from an acquaintance; but,… service, maintenance, fixing  costs is very expensive.

Hence, was wondering if leasing vs buying would be cost effective.

Cheers!

Hi Isobella

You can get a good long term rental rate from the hire companies, I used to have a car from Sixt it cost me 135 BD a month, they came took it away serviced it, insured it etc all I have to do is fuel it and drive.

Something like that may be your best option.

Have a good weekend.
