Hello all!  My husband and I live in Iowa City (go Caitlin) but we plan to retire abroad.  Spain is at the top of the list of possibilitIes.

We are flying into Malaga in November but haven’t booked accommodations because we want to be free to move about.

We would like to meet other expats.  Can anyone recommend expat-welcoming happy hours in Malaga or other coastal regions?

My wife and I are buying a house in Damuiz, which is a small coastal town near Gandia. Our house is just a mile from the beach. EWe love the beach, so it's perfect for us. Daimuz is really small, but we're 10 minutes from Gandia, with banks, stores, markets, hospital, and ever6thung weds need. Also just about 1 hour south of Valencia. We go in December to take possession of it.
