Hi

My wife is a headteacher in the UK for the last 20 years. We have applied to a lot of international schools for leadership roles has well as teaching positions but we are not getting any responses. Do they tend to just fill in positions with experienced international school teachers or teachers from their own groups ? We would have thought that with her experience some schools might at least have spoken to her.

Thanks for any advice.

Hello !

When looking for a job in Thailand, nothing beats human contact. In addition, many people are already on the local job market of education, with good skills, bilingual or more, etc.

So on the one hand, a first piece of advice would be to come to Thailand (if not live there year-round), and on the other hand, the second would be to take into account that without bringing additional skills compared to other candidates already well integrated in the country, the chances of getting a stable and well-paid job are quite low.

Good luck, anyway !
