Caldas da Rainha (Forecast)

Post new topic

TGCampo

We are visiting Caldas da Rainha once in a while for the past almost 10 years and have been there very recently. We found a large number of permanently closed down shops in the city center (we didn't go to the shopping mall), but also a number of relatively new and trendy restaurant (e.g. 19 Tile and the like). The park and so on are beautiful as ever, but it seems little is going on at CCC, which once was our favourite for lunch.

It would be great it anybody with a good knowledge of life in the town/city and provide some information and look ahead.

Hi,

I live in Nazaré, but I go to Caldas da Rainha frequently, and I don't have that impression.

In fact, at the moment, with the festive season upon us, the streets are decorated and so are the shops. As you say, new shops are appearing with different concepts.

As far as the CCC is concerned, there's an agenda for the first quarter of 2025, but I haven't had a chance to go there recently.

@mars60

The CM does a really good job with all the Xmas lights and the huge tree in front of the court house. And the CCC does have a program. I was wondering about the many closed down shops and restaurants (private businesses).

Oh well, I'll have to find out more about that then, because I haven't noticed that at the end of the year. 😉
