Every year, we invite you to share your experiences with the cost of living in in Cyprus, especially in the region or city you live in. Your insights will greatly help members planning their move to Cyprus or already living there.

Here are some points to guide you; the idea is to provide average prices for each category:

What is the cost of renting or buying an apartment or house in Cyprus?

What are the typical fares for public transportation such as buses, subways, trains, trams, or taxis?

Could you share the average monthly cost of your grocery shopping?

How much does health insurance cost? What is the price of a medical consultation in Cyprus?

What are the tuition fees for children?

What are the average monthly costs for utilities, such as electricity, gas, water, internet, and phone plans?

How much do you spend monthly on leisure activities?

Hi, we bought a 2 bed townhouse in 2021 in Paphos Region - to purchase similar today would cost between €140,000 to €200,000

we pay the following on average per month:

. €100 communal fees ( to include pool. maintenance)

. € 40-60 Electricity

. €18 community tax

. €15 water

. €25 wifi

. €18 house insurance

. € 400-500 food ( for 2 people with good appetites)

I recently needed checking at the hospital and paid €10 at A&E, the rest was covered by GHIC ( I am a British Citizen in Cyprus for less than 180 days per annum) I also take out travel insurance just incase.

A night out can cost anything from €40 at a local restaurant to €120 at the tourist areas for dinner & a couple of drinks each.

Takeaway kebab €8

A pint of Keo €3-€4.50

The beach and parking at the beach is free. Bed hire is €2.50 & umbrella €2.50 per day on most beaches.

The people are friendly and I love it here 🤗
