Australians moving to Singapore

Hi All ex-aussies

just wondering what are the best strategies for keeping your Australian mobile number active whilst working in Singapore. Obviously getting a local number but would like to keep home number as it’s linked with services back home.

my current thinking is to move to a pay as you go plan with amaysim and add roaming to it. Block incoming calls and just allow sms. From my research it would cost about $30 for 12 months.

Anyone got better ideas?
