Hi all,

We've recently retired and are looking to slow the pace of life down a bit and would like to relocate to Mexico. Being new at this we'd like to gather as much advice on the process.

I have traveled in Mexico (and have lived here full-time for 8 years) for 47 years and know it well. Happy to answer questions. My email is kerry@expatmx.com

Excellent, I can use all the help help I can get. How do I start the process? My wife and I are looking to move to the San Miguel area and have seen a lot of misleading information. Her passport is valid as mine is in the process of renewing. We also have a cat and puppy that we'd like to bring along as well.
