Hi!  I'm moving to Beijing this weekend from the US and would love to meet some people to explore the city with or just go out for a few drinks or dinner.  I'll be in Beijing for 3 months and I like to try new foods, explore the sites, and try new things that we don't have back in the states.  I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Hi Gemma! Thanks for the reply.  Sorry it took me so long to post again, but I'm still trying to get used to living here.  I'm here for work and I live near the Dongzhimen station.  I'd love to get together.  PM me and we can exchange information.

If you want to meet up I will be at the Expat Services Expo for all three days. You won't be able to miss me since I will be the exhausted looking guy on the stage with the mic.

Alternatively nearly every Tuesday we get-together for drinks and to network.

On Saturday (15 Oct.) I too will arrive in Beijing. I'll be doing some research at IMPLAD (http://www.implad.ac.cn/en/) for a couple of months.

Do you know anything about the Haidian District of Beijing? if so I would love to to hear from you. And anyone interested to meet or know of things to do in the area please let me know!

cheers
L
