Hi all,

is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Mozambique ?

Which documents are required to open a bank account in Mozambique ?

How long does it take to open it ?

Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance)  ?

Which bank would you recommend ?

Thanks in advance for your participation,

Julien

When I opened an account at BCI I needed my DIRE (resident visa), a NUIT (national tax id number), and a residence document from the local government where I live.  hope this helps

Hi Jayne ,

Opening a bank account is not too difficult in Mozambique .
You can get in touch with Stanadard bank or BCI . I have used the service of Standard bank so personally in my view it is one if good bank to start with in Moz .
