Hi all,

we invite you to share your experience about moving to Vietnam.

Here is a list of questions which might help the ones preparing their move to Vietnam:

What would you bring and what would you leave behind?

Is it a good idea to bring furniture or domestic appliances?

Any foodstuffs that are banned in Vietnam?

Is it better to bring a car or to buy one once settled in Vietnam?

Any advice for the ones who are moving to Vietnam?

Thank you in advance for your participation :)

Bring a lot of medications, some first aid knowledge, a little Vietnamese, a valid motorcycle license, an appatite for adventure and lots of patience.  A wallet full of cash will help out too.

But, most definitely, no pride-it tends to cause indigestions here, no appliance-won't work too well, no car-if clearing custom and registration don't turn your hair gray, driving it will.

Well, that is all I can think of right now.  Good luck.

Howie
