Hi

I am a south african citizen and reside in Johannesburg.
I would like to know how do i go about immigrating to Namibia and becoming a Namibian citizen, as my future husband is from Namibia.

He was also born in South Africa and moved to Namibia thus becoming a Namibian citizen and has been living there for the last 10 years.

What is the procedure, and what do i need to do to immigrate to Namibia

Thank you in advance

Harmonie

Hi Nish 86,

Its not that straight foreard. You can reside here in Namibia with your Namibian Husband with-out changing your current Nationality.

Marriange to a Nabibian does not grant Namibian Citizenship - just "the right to live and work here".

You can obtain Citizenship through Birth, Decent and Naturalization (living here for a long-long time, eg. more than 10 years.)
