Java flatshare

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

is it popular to share a flat in Java ?

What advice would you give to those looking for shared accommodation in Java?

Can you recommend specialized local websites or newspapers?

By the way, keep in mind there is a flat share/house share section in the Classifieds ;)

Thank you in advance for your participation and advice!

Christine

I've seen lots of Indonesian with flatshares, usually migrant workers in the cities, but don't know of any foreigners that do it.
Suppose it must happen but it doesn't appear to be common as salaries are generally way about local average so there is little point.
Another popular, cheap form of temp housing are the kost.
Sort of one room bedsits, usually with shared bathrooms.
They seem to start at about Rp400,000/month.
There may well be far better ones with private bathrooms but I've never researched them so I can't be a lot of help.
