Hi,

I'm from Portugal, and I'm thinking on moving to New Zealand, Auckland.
I'd like to know if there's someone on this fórum who moved, or thinking moving to NZ, with children.
I have some questions I would like to clarify...

Tks

Hi Harmonie,

My questions are about medical care for imigrant children?
Is it expensive? do they have benefits?
I'm pregnant at the moment, if I go to NZ pregnant, will I have any benefits on medical and delivery due date? or since i'm an imigrant I have to go to private care?
How does it work?

Hi Harmonie,
If you aren't a residence, you have to pay and you need a medical ensure.
In order to delivery for free in NZ, you should have at least a work permit for 2 years, if not you have to pay.

Is the only that I know

All the best

Hi Nerix,

If you have a 2 year work visa, then your health care is covered including costs associate with prenatal care and delivery.  Your children's health care will be covered as well, but again, this is provided that you have a minimum of a 2 year work visa.
