Okay i will go straight to the point : I REAALLY WANT to study in saudi arabia and more precisely in princess noora university (i'm a girl by the way) !! I already made some reasearch and most people seem to say foreigners can study over there, but most of the time when there's an international section expats are separated from saudis right? i want to learn arabic but it takes time, and since it's a university for girls which provides residential areas and since women cannot DRIVE how do they get their FOOD?? LOOOL :D:rolleyes:

Plus i don't know if saudi diplomas are validated in my home country (middle east)........

Of course i will phone the university, but i know some of you are quite knowledgeable here so i ask

Please i need DESPERATLY A RESPONSE :'(

Alliecat

How do you get food?  Well, I suppose--like the rest of us--you take a taxi to a supermarket.  Problem solved!

Pleasehelp

Yes now i know there's even retail outlet inside so this question is solved! thanxx for the quick response
taxi yeah but i know there's parking cars inside the campus which is weird since women are not allowed to drive in saudi , right?

PEOPLE IF U CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS do it ! lool

musicman

As for transportation I am aware that an Italian Company has been contracted to build a 4-track rail link within the new PNU campus under construction which should solve all the internal transportation problems of the students, academic staff, and other employees

I personnally hadnt heard or seen anything anywhere that saudi nationals and expats were seperated but thats not saying much seeing as I know all of about nothing with regards to studying here

And well your only other question at the top is how do you get food and like Alliecat said - you get a taxi like everyone else ...

In regards to your question of acceptable diplomas for your country, The middle east is not a country its a fairly large generalisation so you will need to narrow it down a bit. Also google is a great invention, maybe check that out as well.

If you're from the ME, you speak Arabic so it should be easy for you to call PNU and get the answers direct from the horse's mouth (idiom ).  I'm sure they also have a written policy--after all, this is a huge university.

BAK

@ written policy ......Hahahahaha

By the way why do I get a feeling from various blogs that life is really cruel to single women in Saudi Arabai :/.

musicman

@Allie, its the Camels mouth, silly

@BAK, thats not true. I know many single women who have a ball here. No, I wont give you their mobile numbers

Ssuperman

PNU is a huge University I am pretty sure they have convenient stores inside the campus to buy food.

True, the thing is like a whole other city, you probably never have to leave

musicman

More like the Hotel California?

Talanathas

I am wondering while this topic is somewhat fresh, if PNU has an English website. A friend of mine suggested doing a Masters there, but it's something I would have to research- I can't seem to find a legit looking website or information about it though.

Any ideas?

heres the link Talanathas:

thanks fo the link! I thought this might have been it- is it just me, or does it lack a lot of details?
