How hard is it to blend in at 6'4" and 320lb??? Ever one that I talk to says to just try to blend in you be safe ....

Judging by the pic, you can pass for a latino. Then, you'll pick up a few local habits, dress like the crowd and you'll be all right. Your accent though... will be giving you up forever.

I've lived in Quito for only 5 weeks but I've seen some pretty big and tall Ecuadorians. One thing I'd recommend from my observation it to get some leather shoes. Some of the teenagers and younger adults wear tennis shoes with jeans, but most people have brown or black leather shoes. Nothing fancy; slip-ons are common. Bring lots of clothes too. I'm only 6'1, but it's pretty hard to find pants that fit or long sleeve shirts that are long enough for my arms. Plus, clothing tends to be more expensive here.
