Baby Supplies

Hi,

Depend of your nationality, If you are an Arabian Woman, you will find easy, but if not I suggest to contact some agencies which providing a housemaid who speaks foreign language.

- Baby formula milk supplies can be very sporadic, one day a shop will have it in stock and the next day it's sold out. Bring as much as you can with you. Some of the larger pharmacies stock brands such as SMA.

- Nappies (or diapers as you lot call them). These are generally locally made products which are terrible quality and disintegrate after a wet one or two. Imported nappies are often available at the bigger pharmacies and supermarkets, but as with formula milk, supplies can be sporadic.

- There are several stores (ie Chicco) which have other baby toys but are very expensive

Pampers nappies can be found quite often. Not the big ecomony packs, though. My daughter prefers huggies, and these are rare. As for the big packs, I have not seen them at all, even in Souq Talyat. Sandman is right about the local nappies, they are not good.

There are lots of baby clothes. I have seen baby strollers and carriages for the smaller babies.

The thing is that you cannot come to one place and buy all you need at a time.

Souk Talyat has a good selection of imported Pampers at the moment.....except no size 5's !
