Are there any children's charities or other organizations in Tripoli?

We have some clothes and a few toys suitable for children aged 12-24 months which we'd like to donate to any worthy causes, otherwise these would just be thrown out.

Thanks Samakauk for the info , I would also like to add

I have worked as a volunteer with Aletc’s  charity work since 4 yrs ago, it organizes bazaars and fundraising campaigns to cover urgent needs of needy and unfortunate families, Its database consists of more than 750 families all over Tripoli.
They collect food used furniture, clothing, blankets, carpets, appliances for these families. Also doing maintenance work for very old houses of these families.

During the month of Ramadan they collect hundreds of boxes filled with all kinds of food and distribute it according to the sizes of the families. There is also the time of Eid where collections of children toys ( used & new) and clothes are gathered and given out.

Aletc also signed a grant from the American Embassy in Libya to run Access mico scholarships for Libyan needy students at Aletc’s premises ( Free of charge) check this:
http://www.ac-see.org/programs/access.htm

There is also a Goodwill Group whose mission is to improve the quality of life of young people via skills training and career services. Sponsoring a student with a donation.

Goodwill Group maintains a database of its students, their skills, needs and desires. Utilizing this information, Aletc maintains a list of roughly 25 students who have demonstrated the need, and aptitude for special training. Essentially, these are students who want to embark on a new career but lack the necessary funding for the particular vocational skill they need to learn.

For each of these students they have developed profiles and specific funding needs, There is no better way to directly impact a life for the better than to fund one of these students' dreams.

So please spread the word among your friends , if you have used stuff u need to get rid of , money donations, food stuff, sponsoring a student, volunteering your time to teach English to needy students ( even for a few lessons)… etc, this is the place to contact,
