Good day to all,

I am thinking of traveling to Zurich for a small vacation (about 7 days to be precise), but I am unaware of the everyday life costs - like food, refreshments, museum entrances, public transportation and etc.
I would really appreciate if some one can share with me his experience in the matter.

Thank you in advance. :)

Hi Dan,

Here you find a some inforamtions about zurich. It's not complete but a beginning to find about what you will look for:

http://www.wordtravels.com/Cities/Switzerland/Zurich

Zurich is one of the most expensive town in Switzerland (like Geneve).

a link to see the price relation between some big town:

So you have to take enough money. Of course, it gives some place which are less expensive. So you have perhaps first to look how much you can spend in your hollidays.

For exemple you can eat for one person in a restaurant for chf. 30.00 but if you will have a good restaurant you can paid for 1 person from chf. 70.00 and it can be more depend of your choice.

So it's difficult to tell you all the prices.

here a link for the public transport.

If I had to decided how much money I will take for Zürich, I think I would look to have minimum chf. 200.00 a day. So for 7 Days it make chf. 1^400.00 (without hotel and flyticket).

I wish you nice hollidays

:)
