You must try "The Chef" at Xemxija, located a little off the beaten track, between the main road and the bay and behind the church at the top of the hill and close to the old boatyard (shipwreck bay its known as) next to the old Ambassador Hotel, (the hotel is currently under refurb - ready for opening in May). The restaurant is superb, decor in the style of an olde worlde wine bar,the staff were attentive, the service great, the food was exceptional, fresh and warm Maltese bread followed by slow roasted irish lamb, with roasted peppers, fennel, courgettes, potatoes and wow a fab gravy too....all washed down with a red caravaggio and a white palatino...mmmmmmmmand very reasonably priced too. SUPERB  is the word. TRY IT - YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Ta Victor in Marsascala... traditional Maltese food... Awesome

5 people including Wine and soft drinks @ €88 euro :)

Julian

Sorry Marsaxlokk.... Doh !!

biddy

Masascala or Marsaxlokk???

scubaboy

both are good, Marsaxlokk has some really really nice resturants, Ta Victor is a traditional Maltese and very very reasonable, il Bukket is also very good, I haven't been to the Hunters Tower for years but that was Excellent, pricey for Marsaxlokk but very good.

Marsascala I have only been to a couple and they were ok... Over priced.
