I am coming to work in Jeddah and must admit that I am afraid of the heat. I know all the offices are air conditioned, can anyone tell me how they deal with the heat and how it affects what they do day in day out

Thanks so much

Hi Gary,
If you will be working indoors, you will not feel the heat. Unless if you are a smoker

trevorcox

hi there

It really depends on what your job is !! Unless you are coming as a labourer, construction worker , or a street cleaner !!!

For most of us the heat is not an issue except between the air conditioned flat and the car !! but then get the house boy to turn the AC on before you lave the house
Then the car and the office -But if you have a driver thats also not an issue.

And when u have finished work if will be getting the evening so once again not a problem!!

Maybe the Middle east is not quite the right place for you to be  bearing in mnd your fobia!!!
What is there to be afraid of as regards heat !!!
i have been here 30+ years and I cannot say I have ever been afraid of the heat!!
