Hi,
Can anyone tell me what source do I look for in order to send few gift items to one of my close friend in Pakistan ? How about the courier services, postal procedure or any other means. Suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Friends,

Contrary to most civilized countries, receiving a gift parcel from abroad is a nightmare in Pakistan. I received two branded T-Shirts from Bahrain in Karachi early this year and Customs charged me Rs. 3000 each as Customs duty which was more than the gift's worth.

My nephew received a used Samsung S5 from Saudi Arabia and Customs charged Rs. 17000 on it. I ordered some motorbike electric accessories on "ALIEXPRESS" but customs were demanding such a value that I decided not to collect it.

Therefore the answer to your question is NO, it is not worth the time , hassle and trouble. Solution is let a friend hand carry it for you.  :)
