Importing personal car into Pakistan on return

Is it a possibility to import personal car (bought brand new, over 4 years old, US make) into Pakistan when an expat returning from Saudi Arabia?

I've been finding mix answers so not sure if it is possible. Any thought?

Hello Sarn,

Under current customs regulations, one can not import any vehicle which is more than three years old. An American car or SUV after paying duties and taxes will become exorbitantly expensive and with LHD it will be difficult to sell.

I suggest you seek help from forums like PAKWHEELS on the net.

Thanks for the information. In fact you confirmed what I thought of: best to buy in PK rather than importing American cars from Saudi.
