Is the salary being offered sufficient for a normal life in bahrain?

Post new topic

Praveenmr

Hi,

I recently got a job offer from a company in bahrain.

They are saying the salary will be somewhere equivalent to Rs.60,000/-p.m i.e. around 400 BHDp.m.

They are also saying that they will cover the following
a) Accomodation
b) Local conveyance (between accomodation and work place)
c) Visa Cost
d) Travelling from India to Bahrain

Your posts will be a lot of help to me.

Regards.

Olivier-France

Hi Praveenmr and welcome to the forum,

I'm sure you have read the previous posts on that matter.
The concept of a "normal life" still needs to be defined...
What is a normal life to some people  might be the dream life of others and vice versa !
I think it will be OK, a lot of people are earning 100 to 150 BHD with the same condition and the minimum salary for a Bahraini is 250BHD at the moment. So with 400, if you just have to pay for food and personal expenses I guess it'll do.

Cheers

Olivier

Since they are covering for everything, I think the salary will be OK for you to live on but don't expect to be able to eat out everyday - unless you're fine with Burget King / McDonald's every day. It all depends on your location as well, for example if you're going to live in Seef, then things are a bit more expensive. If you're going to live in Juffair / Adliya, they are a little bit cheaper but not much.
