Waiting for Family reunification - work permit

Post new topic

Hi,

I'm a Canadian national and have moved to Denmark with my wife and 9 month old son.  We've begun the family reunification process and with the new system there are some lengthy delays in store for us.  I'm applying for jobs and, while I know i'm not legally permitted to work while the family reunification application is pending, I'm wondering if potential employers are in a position to speed up the process if they wish to hire you.  If anyone has any experiences with this i'd be glad to hear about them.  Thanks for your time.

Cheers,

Dan

I don't think any thing could speed up the process. As far as I know the Immigration office is working at their own speed (read: Snail pace) and won't let any third party disturb them when they take their time in reviewing your application.

I could only say good luck and hope you get answer from the immigration office very soon

Just wondering if u finally got ur residence card, and how long was the actual waiting period?
