You seem to be a knowledgable expat.
So can I get some advice from you?
I am very seriously considering retiring from Australia to live in Philippines with a Filipina woman I have been emailing and met.
What medical insurance would you recommend for Australian expats?

by all means get Phil-Healh it depends on your age as far as private insurance, there are a lot of those so go on line for that
