London or Birmingham please?

Post new topic

Hello all,

Currently I am living in France but I've got some ongoing proposals (but still in negotiation)for some positions in the UK. The first one is in the north of London (Hemel Hempstead), the other near Birmingham (Coventry). I have been in the UK but neither in London nor Birmingham so I don't know where it is better to live and enjoy a minimum the british life:)

According to your experiences, where would it better to go? depending on the living standards, going out by night, possibility to meet open minded people...what would you prefer if you have choice please?

Thanks a lot for you help.

Sorry for my bad english;)

Hi

The cost of living is a lot more expensive in London

Birmingham is a lot more friendly and cheaper to live in.

I would choose Birmingham any day

@stevelyons -> An introduction would be appreciated. :) Maybe you could deepen your answer as well.

Thank you,

It depends on your age. Birmingham is cheaper but there's so much to do London and is one of the cultural capitals of the world so if you want to go out and do loads of interesting things, live in London, but it will cost.
